Given the pressures on the world’s water supply, the availability of clean water is the number one public health issue. A properly functioning wastewater treatment (WWT) system is key to preserving global water resources. A WWT system is composed of a set of processes aimed at cleaning up wastewater before it is returned to the natural environment or reused (clean water).
The objective of WWT is to reduce the impact of wastewater on the environment. Our dosing pumps contribute to the efficacy of water treatment methods and their performance at WWT installations.
Traditional preparation of liquid polymer is carried out by means of integrated inline dosing systems based on an electric pump (peristaltic pump, diaphragm pump) which sometimes includes mixers and other options. Shown in the picture above, our Polymer Unit 1 [PU1] dosing pump with a special self cleaning valve is recommended for high viscosity anionic/cationic polymers. This reduces the clogging risk and extends the time between pump cleaning.

As shown above, our Polymer Unit 1 [PU1] dosing unit with a special self cleaning valve is recommended for high viscosity anionic/cationic polymers. This reduces the clogging risk and extends the time between pump cleaning.
Our metering pump is useful for this application to make a precise dilution of the polymer solution. This dilution allows for the separation of the solid from the liquid of the sludge, increasing the dryness of this sludge.
Our pump’s design will allow it to inject concentrated polymer and to mix it with the diluted water.
At the outlet, the water/polymer solution goes through the Dosatron Dynamic mixer in order to homogenize the solution. This allows for the separation of the liquid from the solid thanks to flocculation.
Once prepared, the sludge can be treated mechanically in order to extract the essential quantity of the water contained.
